Women in Aviation International’s Girls in Aviation Day (GIAD) will be a hands-on event across the globe in September, 2025, and the Aviation for Girls App will also continue! The USU Chapter of WAI will host their event on 27 September for girls ages 8-18 . Join us at the Logan-Cache Airport for immersive activities which will introduce girls to the many careers, skills, and knowledge required for jobs in aviation. From airplane static displays, simulators, drone flying, interaction with women in aviation careers, military and civilian careers, girls will discover what it takes to prepare for careers in aviation and the opportunities for them here in Cache Valley and at Utah State University. All participants with tickets will receive a pink GIAD shirt, draw-string bag, and lunch with guest speakers. Registration starts at 0830 and the event will run from 0900-1200 including lunch. We ask a parent/older sibling to accompany any youth under the age of 13, and families can join the group for lunch with a paid ticket.
