Nothing Says Summer Like a Salt Lake Bees Game
There is something about walking into a baseball stadium on a warm evening: the music, the smell of ballpark food, the perfectly groomed field and the sound of a ball hitting a bat that immediately feels like summer.
The Salt Lake Bees’ new home, The Ballpark at America First Square in Daybreak, brings that classic summer experience into a beautiful new setting.
The stadium feels polished and impressive without losing the relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere that makes Minor League Baseball so much fun.
With the Wasatch Mountains visible beyond the field, it has a view that competes with the game itself.
Affordable Seats with Room to Relax
Traditional stadium seats are obviously available, but we were equally impressed by the lawn seating.
The lawn offers a great view at a more affordable price and gives children a little extra room to stretch out.
Families can bring approved blankets, stadium seat backs, or seat cushions, making it easier to settle in for the evening.
Our younger girls love watching the outfielders during warmups and running down between innings, hoping one of the players will toss them a ball. They may not follow every pitch, but they are completely invested in the possibility of going home with a baseball. That is part of the fun of a Bees game.
Some family members will study the scoreboard while others are there for the snacks, music, mascots, and between-inning entertainment, but the real treat is that everyone can still have a great time together.
Make It a Full Family Outing
The new Daybreak location gives families plenty to do before and after the game.
America First Square and the surrounding area include restaurants, a Megaplex Theatre and additional entertainment options.
You can grab dinner, add arcade time or even pair the game with a movie.
The nearby TRAX station also makes it possible to ride from downtown Salt Lake City.
For children who do not regularly ride public transportation, taking the train can become part of the adventure.
