Challenge the Whole Family at Utah Olympic Park
When we arrived at Utah Olympic Park, our kids were excited.
By the time we left, they were fulfilled, challenged and completely exhausted, in the best possible way.
The Gold Pass gives families access to a wide variety of activities, and that variety is what makes it such a strong experience.
Our children could climb, balance, zip, slide, jump and test themselves in ways that felt genuinely challenging.
Something for Different Ages and Personalities
Depending on the date and operating conditions, Gold Pass activities may include the Alpine Slide, Extreme Tubing, Extreme Zipline, Freestyle Zipline, Discovery Course, and Action Tower.
During peak summer periods, additional experiences may include the Canyon Course, Summit Course, Drop Tower, and Air Bag Jumps.
Some of our kids were immediately drawn to the biggest and fastest attractions, while others preferred to start with something more manageable and work their way up. That flexibility prevented the day from becoming an all-or-nothing experience. Each child could have a victory that felt personal.
An Ideal Family-Reunion Activity
As we moved through the park, I kept thinking about what a great family-reunion activity this would be.
In a large family group, everyone has a different definition of fun.
Some people want the most difficult ropes course. Others would rather ride the Alpine Slide or enjoy a less intense activity.
Utah Olympic Park offers enough variety that different ages and interests can be accommodated in the same location.
There are also natural gathering places where everyone can regroup, share stories, and decide what to try next.
A Gold-Medal Moment
Our 10-year-old especially loved earning her “gold medal” at the end of the day.
We held a little medal ceremony for her in the plaza, and she could not have been prouder.
It was a small gesture, but it made the day feel like her own Olympic experience.
That is one of the reasons family adventures matter.
Children may forget exactly how long a zipline was, but they remember how capable and celebrated they felt.
